My first pair of Kiwis; I've been wearing Reefs for ... twenty years?

Please read the rest of this review understanding that I'm definitely still breaking them in; I wear them every day but probably only a couple hours a day so far, for the past almost-two-weeks.

I'm finding as part of the break-in process that the thong between the toes causes... "soreness" you could say, particularly when walking downhill. The footbed isn't particularly grippy, which probably isn't helping the thong pain, and makes walking up hills a bit more difficult. I fully expect that the thong will soften and shape to my countours, and the footbed will also reshape slightly (I'm already seeing indents where my foot and particularly toes go).

I went into this purchase fully expecting a break-in process, and if I lived in a flatter area I suspect there'd be *zero* issues; the issues I have are purely a result of the heavier leather being used, which is something I'm looking forward to having for the decades ahead.

So, at 2 weeks: 5/5, would buy again.

Still breaking them in but like so far

I have a pair that I bought 15 years ago and they just keep going! They’ve been my favorite, go to summer sandal for all those years. I mistreat them terribly. I wear them in the river, on long walks, and on bike rides, and they are still holding up. I’m getting a new pair just so that I have nice, cute sandals to wear out when it’s time to be a little fancier.

This is my 5th pair really well made! Lasts for years. Do you still repair or resoul old ones?

Hey all! If you are seeing this product but feel skeptical of whether to buy, consider my recommendation. I was also skeptical since it lacked reviews; nonetheless, I ended up purchasing these, and they exceeded my expectations. For the price, these are genuinely great quality. They look cute on feet and fit snuggly. Of course, the first time I wore these, I saw some redness on my toe, but this is generally the case with leather straps; hence, the break in period. Each wear only gets more comfortable and enjoyable to wear. Also, Vibram soles! That was my major motivator.

I first met the Kiwi Sandals folks at a festival about 20 years ago. I fell in love with your products and was so pleased that they are hand made here in California out of great materials for a reasonable price! Your sandals are very comfortable and last for years. I just ordered another pair, and they are every bit as good as the other sandals I have purchased from you over the years. Carry on, you're doing a wonderful job!

Very, very happy with the sandals I wore them when I was in California and now I’m in Florida. I lost them to a flood, but I got them back and I’m really thrilled so that’s my recommendation.

Years ago I had a pair almost like these. I was sad when they broke, but elated when I found these, I love them!

The #71 is perfect! Love my first pair, went back a week later to order a second pair and the price went up by $40. Gonna have to save up

I was looking for a cool pair of flip flops to replace my rainbows and am so glad I found these❣️ I also explored Olukai but ultimately went with these awesome flops! Comfort/fit wise- pretty similar to rainbows (but better). True to size. The color and look of the leather was different from the photos. For anyone wondering, it was similar to the dark brown leather photos of some the sandals here.

I love how completely it forms to the shape of your foot.
